Aurora Police searching for possible kidnapping, assault suspect

Police said the man was armed with a gun and violently assaulted the woman before he forced her into the Dodge Charger and fled the scene

Aurora Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who they believed assaulted and kidnapped a woman Friday night.

Around 10:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of an assault near North Shawnee Street and East 42nd Avenue. When officers arrived, all individuals and the suspect vehicle were gone, police said.

Witnesses told police that a man armed with a gun violently assaulted a woman, then forced her into a vehicle before fleeing the scene.

The vehicle involved was a newer, light grey Dodge Charger with unknown rental Colorado license plates in the color red, police said.

Anyone with information about the people involved or the car is asked to call Aurora Police by calling 720-913-7867.
