Aurora Police said Wednesday that the woman who they believe was kidnapped on Sunday is safe and the suspects involved have been contacted.
Around 1:30 p.m., Sunday police said a woman wearing a white shirt and red pajama pants was standing in the street near the intersection of Moline Street and Cedar Avenue yelling for help.
A man then forcibly grabbed the woman and put her into the backseat of a newer-model white Dodge Charger with unknown Colorado plates, police said.
A concerned neighbor came outside to help when another man got out of a 2004 to 2008 white Toyota 4Runner holding a handgun.
The drivers of both vehicles left the scene at the same time. Police released photos of vehicles that are similar to the two described.
Police said they’re trying to identify the driver of the 4Runner who is wanted to threatening the witness. It’s unclear if anyone’s been arrested in the case.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact police at 303-627-3100.
