OPENING

“Beautiful Wedding” — (Comedy, R, 100 minutes). After a wild night in Las Vegas, Abby and Travis discovered they got married.

“Godzilla Minus One Minus Color” — (Action, PG-13, 125 minutes). After the war ends, Japan faces a new threat by a monster in the form of Godzilla that has the power of the atomic bomb.

“The Metropolitan Opera: Carmen” — (Opera, not rated, 240 minutes). A live broadcast of opera performed at The Metropolitan Opera.

ONGOING

“All of Us Strangers” — (Drama, R, 105 minutes). When a screenwriter returns to his childhood home he finds that his parents appear to be alive even though they died 30 years ago.

“American Fiction” — (Comedy, R, 117 minutes). A novelist who is upset with an establishment that is profiting from Black entertainment uses a pen name to write an outlandish “Black” book, only to find himself caught up in the madness and hypocrisy he claims to disdain.

“Anatomy of a Fall” — (Crime, R, 152 minutes). Being the sole witness to a murder, a blind son faces a moral dilemma when his mom is blamed for his father’s death.

“Anyone But You” — (Comedy, R, 103 minutes). Grade: C, Michael Phillips. After a great first date, something happens that turns Ben and Bea’s fiery attraction ice cold. But when they both show up at a wedding in Australia, they have no choice but to pretend to be a couple.

“The Beekeeper” — (Action, R, 105 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. After being revealed to be a former operative for a secret and powerful organization known as Beekeepers, a man’s brutal crusade for vengeance takes on national stakes.

“The Book of Clarence” — (Adventure, PG-13, 136 minutes). While trying to make a better life for him and his family, Clarence is drawn to the glory and power of the rising Messiah.

“The Boy and the Heron” — (Animation, PG-13, 124 minutes). Grade: A, Katie Walsh. In this semi-autobiographical fantasy from the mind of Hayao Miyazaki, a young boy ventures into a world of the living and the dead.

“The Boys in the Boat” — (Biography, PG-13, 124 minutes). Tells the story of the Depression-era beginnings of the University of Washington’s rowing team to the team’s win of gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

“The Color Purple” — (Drama, PG-13, 140 minutes). Based on the novel and Broadway musical, tells the story of how Celie finds hope and strength in the bonds of sisterhood on her journey to independence.

“Cult Killer” — (Adventure, R, 105 minutes). After a private investigator is murdered, his protégé tries to find his killer and during her investigation she uncovers the town’s secrets.

“Driving Madeleine” — (Drama, not rated, 91 minutes). When Madeleine calls a taxi to take her to the retirement home, she asks the taxi drive to first drive through Paris to the places that have been important in her life.

“Ferrari” — (Biography, R, 130 minutes). The life story of ex-racer turned entrepreneur Enzo Ferrari.

“Founders Day” — (Comedy/Horror, R, 106 minutes). In the days leading up to a fierce mayoral election, a small town is rattled by a series of killings.

“Freud’s Last Session” — (Drama, PG-13, 108 minutes). Just days before the start of World War II, Sigmund Freud and C.S. Lewis get together to debate the existence of God.

“Godzilla Minus One” — (Action, PG-13, 125 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. After the war ends, Japan faces a new threat by a monster in the form of Godzilla that has the power of the atomic bomb.

“Hanu-Man” — (Action, not rated, 150 minutes). The protagonist gets the power of Hanuman and fights for an imaginary place called Anjanadri.

“The Holdovers” — (Comedy, R, 133 minutes). Grade: A-, Michael Phillips. A cranky teacher at a prep school has to stay on campus for the holidays with a troubled student who has no place to go.

“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes” — (Action, PG-13, 157 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. After Coriolanus Snow reluctantly agrees to mentor a tribute for the 10th Hunger Games, he finds that he is developing feelings for the female from the impoverished District 12.

“The Iron Claw” — (Biography, R, 120 minutes). Grade: A-, Katie Walsh. The story of the Von Erich brothers and how they made history in the 1980s in the world of professional wrestling.

“I.S.S.” — (Sci-Fi, R, 95 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. When a conflict breaks out on Earth, tensions rise aboard the International Space Station and U.S. and Russian astronauts are told to take control of the station by any means necessary.

“Mean Girls” — (Comedy, PG-13, 112 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. New student Cady is in with the elite group at school called The Plastics until she makes the mistake of falling for the group leader’s ex-boyfriend.

“Migration” — (Animation, PG, 92 minutes). Grade: B-, Katie Walsh. A duck family convinces their overprotective father to go on vacation and it turns out to be a family vacation like no other.

“Night Swim” — (Horror, PG-13, 98 minutes). After moving into a new home, a family is terrorized by a dark secret in the home’s past when they go swimming in the backyard pool.

“Origin” — (Drama, PG-13, 135 minutes). While dealing with personal tragedy, Isabel finds bravery and beauty while writing one of the defining American books of our time.

“Poor Things” — (Drama, R, 141 minutes). After Bella Baxter is brought back to life by scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter, she stands steadfast in her purpose for liberation and equality.

“Soul” — (Animation, PG, 100 minutes). A New York jazz pianist finds himself trapped between Earth and the afterlife when he lands the gig of a lifetime.

“Which Brings Me to You” — (Romance, not rated, 98 minutes). When two romantic burnouts meet at a wedding, they decide to exchange honest confessions about their pasts.

“Wish” — (Animation, PG, 92 minutes). Grade: C, Katie Walsh. When Asha makes a wish, a little ball of energy named Star appears and together they must confront the Ruler of Rosas to save the community.

“The Wizard of Oz” 85th Anniversary — (Adventure, G, 102 minutes). Dorothy and her dog Toto end up in the magical Land of Oz after being swept away from their Kansas farm by a tornado.

“Wonka” — (Adventure, PG, 116 minutes). Grade: B, Katie Walsh. A poor and young Willy Wonka discovers that the chocolate industry is run by a gang of greedy chocolatiers when he pursues his dream of opening a chocolate shop.

“The Zone of Interest” — (Drama, PG-13, 105 minutes). The commandant of Auschwitz and his wife try to build a life for their family while living next to the camp.
