Student injured in knife incident at Brighton High School

A Brighton High School student was arrested and released Friday morning following a knife incident that injured another student, according to Brighton police. 

Around 10:30 a.m., school security at Brighton High School received a report from a student within the school who had a significant leg injury, police said.

A Brighton police school resource officer was notified and requested emergency medical response, according to police.

The injured student was transported to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The other student involved was arrested, processed and released, pending charges, police said. The student, a juvenile, was not identified.
