Denver weather: Rain/snow mix on and off Thursday

Thursday’s weather around metro Denver will be wet and cold with some snow mixed in for fun.
Denver residents can expect a chance of rain and snow before 1 p.m., then a chance of rain between 1 and 4 p.m., then a chance of rain and snow after 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
It will be partly sunny with a high near 46 and northwest winds blowing 5 to 9 mph, becoming northeast in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%, but with little or no snow accumulation expected.
Tonight, a 30% chance of snow before 8 p.m., is likely with mostly clear skies and a low around 29. West winds will blow around 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Sunshine and warming returns for the weekend as temperatures will climb into the 60s for highs during the day and stay above freezing overnight.
