Denver weather: Slushy around the Mile High City Thursday
Denver is forecast for cool temperatures alongside a rain/snow mix Thursday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
There’s an 80% chance of rain and snow Thursday, mainly after 3 p.m. Expect a high of 38 degrees. Some thunder is even possible too, NWS officials said.
Rain and snow showers will form over the I-25 corridor this afternoon becoming all snow this evening. Snow accumulations of 1-3 inches are expected with higher amounts up to 5 or 6 inches possible next to the foothills in cities like Boulder and Golden. The evening rush hour could be impacted from this snow.
Looking ahead to Thursday night, there’s a 90% chance of rain and snow continuing after 8 p.m. Expect a low of 25 degrees.
A 70% chance of rain and snow will continue Friday morning, mainly before 10 a.m. Skies will clear Friday evening ahead of the weekend warm up with projected temps in the 50s and 60s.
