A weekend morning drive suffered a bit of slowdown on southbound Interstate 25 due to a crash that involved at least seven vehicles.
Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving at least seven cars in the southbound lanes of I-25 around 6 a.m. Saturday morning, the department said in a social media post.
The crash occurred around mile marker 185 near the North Meadows Drive exit, causing multiple lanes to be closed during the cleanup process.
One person was taken to the hospital, and the extent of their injuries was not shared.
CSP believes very icy conditions were a factor in the crash. Temperatures in the area fell below freezing last night, still sticking around 30 degrees as of 8 a.m., according to the National Weather Service Boulder.
Around 8 a.m., CSP said that one lane of southbound I-25 had reopened.
