A man died on scene following a shooting east of downtown Denver near Colfax Avenue on Sunday night.

Denver police received two separate calls on the shooting at 9:01 p.m. and at 9:06 p.m., according to police.

A man was shot near the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Downing Street, police said.

The man died on scene, police said, adding the investigation is a homicide.

No suspect is in custody, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing.
