Denver weather: Sunshine and warmth Thursday

Denver’s forecast calls for sunshine and warmth Thursday with anticipated highs in the mid 70s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Expect sunny conditions Thursday and a high of 75 degrees. Winds from the south will range between 5 and 10 mph. Gusts could potentially reach upwards of 16 mph.

Looking ahead to Thursday night, expect partly cloudy skies and a low bottoming out at 43 degrees.

Temps will shoot back up to the 70s Friday with chances of rain scattered throughout Friday evening and into the weekend. Highs will be in the 50s Saturday and Sunday.

Friday: Expect mostly sunny skies for the Colorado Rockies home opener at Coors Field and a high near 75 degrees.

Saturday: There’s a 60% chance of showers in the morning and early afternoon. Winds from the northeast will range between 14 and 25 mph.

Sunday: There’s a 20% chance of showers before 7 a.m. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 54 degrees.

Monday: There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 57 degrees.
