Denver weather: Beautiful sunny conditions Friday, ample sun all weekend long

Denver residents can expect sunny skies Friday with a high near 76, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. A south wind is expected to blow between 6 to 10 mph, becoming east in the afternoon, with winds gusting as high as 16 mph.

“Locally elevated fire weather conditions possible this afternoon for parts of the plains, otherwise, no hazardous weather conditions are expected,” the NWS said.

Friday night expect partly cloud conditions with a low around 49 and south southwest winds to blow between 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Warm, dry, and breezy weather will create elevated fire weather conditions on the plains Saturday through Monday.

“A windy weather system will move through late Monday into Tuesday. The mountains will have light to moderate snow, while the plains will have rain showers,” the NWS said.

“Cool weather with a chance of showers will persist the rest of the week, with occasional snow in the mountains and a chance of showers on the plains. It will likely be warm enough for rain at lower elevations.”

Here is the rest of the week’s forecast from the National Weather Service:
