Denver weather: Partly sunny, breezy Wednesday with highs in the upper 60s
Denver residents can expect sunny and breezy conditions throughout most of Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 69 degrees, the weather agency said. Southwest winds of 7-16 mph are likely, with gusts as high as 22 mph.
“Today will be warm and breezy ahead of a cold front that will pass across the area in the early evening,” the NWS said. “West winds will gust up to 40 mph in the mountains this afternoon. Scattered showers will develop in the late afternoon with the snow level around 8000 feet, and an isolated thunderstorm is possible.”
This evening, temperatures will drop quickly with wind gusts to 40 mph behind the front. Scattered snow showers will continue in the mountains, with scattered rain showers possibly mixing with snow on the plains late. Accumulations in the mountains will be less than two inches, with little or no accumulation on the plains.
The overnight low is expected to be 37 degrees, with a 30% chance of showers.

Thursday: A chance of rain and snow showers before 1pm, then a chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 50. East northeast wind 7 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 56. North northeast wind 6 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
Saturday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 54. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Sunday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.
