Denver weather: Returning to spring with temperatures reaching into 70s
Denver residents should expect partly sunny, breezy conditions as Monday kicks off a warm week, according to the National Weather Service in Denver.
Monday’s high is expected to reach 77 degrees, the weather agency predicts. Wind speeds will range between 8-17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
Isolated showers/thunderstorms are forecast for the afternoon in the mountains, with a few straying onto the plains, but more likely bringing only virga and brief wind gusts up to 30 mph.
Elevated fire weather conditions expected this afternoon across portions of the Palmer Divide and Lincoln County.
The wind should persist throughout Monday night, with a low of about 43 degrees, according to NWS.

Tuesday: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 61. North wind 6 to 8 mph becoming east in the afternoon.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Light and variable wind becoming east northeast 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.
Thursday: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Breezy.
Friday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69.
