Boulder police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run involving a teenage pedestrian who suffered “serious injuries,” police said.

Police responded to a crash report around 10 p.m. on April 26 near Canyon Blvd and 14th St. A 15-year-old boy had been struck by a vehicle and suffered serious injuries, the Boulder Police Department said in a social media post.

The teen had been walking across Canyon Blvd on the eastbound lane before he was struck by a “dark or black” vehicle, police said. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital. He was recently released and is recovering at home.

The driver did not stay at the scene.

Police added that the crash was in the middle of the block and not at a stoplight or stop sign. Investigators do not have any specifics regarding the vehicle at this time.

Anyone who has any information about this incident is asked to contact Traffic Officer Steve Coon at [email protected] or 720-626-9749 and reference case 24-03939.
