Denver weather: Early chill gives way to sunny, breezy conditions on Wednesday
Denver residents will experience near-freezing temperatures early Wednesday, but conditions will quickly become more spring-like as the day progresses, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
The weather agency issued a frost advisory for Denver and surrounding areas until 8 a.m., yet by early afternoon it should be sunny and breezy with a high reaching near 60 degrees, NWS said.
“Periods of light snow will continue in the mountains today with only light accumulations,” the NWS said. “Winds will gradually decrease with not as much blowing snow over the higher passes. Winds across the foothills and plains will decrease as well.”
Wednesday night is expected to be mostly cloudy, with a slight chance of showers and a low of about 38 degrees.

Thursday: A chance of showers, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a north wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Friday: A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. West wind 6 to 11 mph becoming east in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
Saturday: A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 71.
Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 71.
