2-year-old Boulder girl dies after hit by truck

A two-year-old girl died in the hospital after being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of a Boulder apartment complex on Monday.
At 5:20p.m., Boulder police were called to an apartment complex in the 700 block of 29th Street where a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck had hit the toddler, according to a Boulder Police Department news release.
The two-year-old girl was walking with her father when she was struck by the truck, police said in its initial investigation.
A witness drove the injured child and her father to the hospital, where she died a short time later, police said.
The driver, a 24-year-old man, stayed on scene and cooperated with the crash investigation.
