Denver weather: Chance of thunderstorms Tuesday, mostly warm in the 70s

Denver is forecast for above average temps Tuesday with highs in the uppers 70s and a chance of rain in the afternoon.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, there’s a 40% chance of rain Tuesday afternoon, mainly after 2 p.m. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 79 degrees.
High, northwesterly winds are anticipated to roll through the Denver area Tuesday, with gusts reaching upwards of 25 mph.
Looking ahead to Tuesday night, a 40% chance of showers persists overnight. Expect mostly cloudy skies and lows bottoming out at 50 degrees.
Slight chances of rain will continue throughout the week before clearing up amid the weekend. Temps will remain hot beginning Thursday and through Sunday with highs in the upper 70s and low 80.
