Nikola Jokic unanimously selected to fourth All-NBA First-Team
No. 15 picked up No. 4 Wednesday.
Nikola Jokic was a unanimous selection to the All-NBA first team when the honors were announced Wednesday night. The only other player to be voted a first-team selection on all 99 ballots was Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Dallas’ Luka Doncic was one vote away from being the third unanimous selection, while Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo and Boston’s Jayson Tatum rounded out the first team.
The 29-year-old averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9 assists while shooting 58.3% from the field in 79 regular-season games this year to earn his fourth first-team selection. He also did so in 2019, 2021 and 2022. Wednesday’s announcement gave Jokic six All-NBA seasons, as he was a second-teamer in 2020 and 2023.
No other Nuggets player received an All-NBA vote, marking another season where none of Jokic’s teammates made an All-Star team, All-NBA selection or All-Defensive team. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (11) and Aaron Gordon (6) received votes in the All-Defensive voting but did not make either one of the two teams.
The All-NBA second team consisted of Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, Minnesota guard Anthony Edwards, Suns forward Kevin Durant, Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard and Lakers center Anthony Davis. Lakers forward LeBron James, Warriors guard Stephen Curry, Kings center Domantas Sabonis, Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and Suns guard Devin Booker were named to the third team.
