Road closures, prices, times for 2024 Colorado Renaissance Festival

The annual festival, at 650 Perry Park Ave. in Larkspur, is to be held each Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Aug. 4.

Huzzah! Colorado’s 2024 Renaissance Festival will return to Larkspur on Saturday.

That means the return of giant turkey legs, jousting knights competitions, arts and crafts vendors, “royalty,” jolly music, juggling jesters and plenty of ale.

The annual Larkspur festival — 2024 marks its 47th anniversary — transports visitors back to the 1500s in a fully immersive village.

The festival features stage shows, jousting tournaments, medieval-like drinks and food, kids activities and a renaissance themed marketplace.

Rain or shine, the Colorado Renaissance Festival is held each Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., until Aug. 4. The festival is located at 650 Perry Park Ave.

With the Renaissance Festival also comes area road closures.

Starting Saturday and Sunday and weekends through Aug. 4, Douglas County Sheriff’s plan to close Bear Dance Road Drive south of Tomah Road. The weekend road closures last between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Residents and golfers with tee times will be allowed through, according to the sheriff’s office.

The access to the festival is via Spruce Mountain Road to Perry Park Ave. or I-25.

Prices for this year’s festival is $28 for adults, $12 for children and free for children under five. Parking is also free. More information on themed weekends and tickets can be found here: coloradorenaissance.com.
