Denver weather: Mild temperatures and showers Wednesday

Denver is forecast for unseasonably cooler temperatures and afternoon showers Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
There’s a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3 p.m. Expect partly sunny skies and a high of 72 degrees.
“A cold front has brought cooler temperatures to the area today,” the NWS said. “There will be a slight chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms over the higher terrain. Overnight tonight, there will be a chance of showers over the plains along with an isolated thunderstorm.”
Around Denver, expect on Wednesday night a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms persisting through 9 p.m. Expect mostly cloudy skies and a low of 55 degrees.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms will persist through Friday, accompanied by hot temps in the upper 80s and lower 90s. Saturday will bring a dry start to the weekend with hot temps in the 90s.
