Civic Center Park will be the place to be on Independence Day eve.
The Civic Center Conservancy is planning to host Denver’s largest-ever drone show there on July 3, to celebrate Independence Day, along with a handful of other events and experiences that run from 5 to 10 p.m. at Civic Center Park.
The drone show will feature 300 drones over Lincoln Veterans Memorial Park and organizers said the best place to view them from is Civic Center’s Great Lawn and South Lawn.
The drone show is scheduled to take place from 9:40 to 10 p.m.
In addition to the drones, Denver is launching a “Night Market” in Civic Center Park that evening, with different food options, an artisan market and a family zone with games and activities along 14th Avenue.
Event organizers said they also plan to have music from “emerging young DJs” from Youth on Record. The Colorado Symphony Brass & Percussion Ensemble will also be playing some classic American songs in the Greek Theatre inside the park.
There are also plans for two different light shows that will illuminate the park’s iconic structures, scheduled to take place between 9 and 9:30 p.m.
