The Oak Ridge fire west of Beulah in Pueblo County was 25% contained Thursday morning.
According to Rocky Mountain Area Complex Incident Management Team 3, the total acreage burned remained unchanged from the previous night but grew slightly to 1,193 Thursday evening from drier weather, warmer temperatures, and wind gusts of 20-25 mph.
Containment remains unchanged.
The fire, which has been active since June 22, is relatively maintained by the crew, now totaling 829, and was not expected to grow overnight, given current weather conditions.
Contingency work completed work in Pueblo Mountain Park and crews are now moving south.
Structure protection has completed all planning and protection assets are tested and inspected daily. Drones assisted with infrared and heat searches of the fire while helicopters supported ground crews with holding hot spots near fire lines.
In a post on Facebook, the team reminded the public that a temporary flight restriction is in effect around the fire after local recreational drones interfered with aerial operations.
