Northbound lanes of Interstate 25 were closed at 144th after a semi rolled over Friday afternoon.

The closure is expected to last for an extended period of time, according to the Thornton Police Department. Police suggest drivers take an alternate route in the area.

Traffic in the area is being diverted onto 144th Avenue.
