If you’re driving along Highway 285 through Bailey, Colorado, you’ll likely notice a giant hot dog-shaped building on the side of the road. It’s known as the Coney Island Boardwalk or South Park Coney Island, and it’s a historical Colorado landmark.

The unique 1950s-style diner is built as a 42-foot-long hot dog. According to an article from Uncover Colorado, the hot dog stand was built in 1966 on West Colfax Avenue. It was then put on wheels and stationed in Aspen Park until 2006 when it moved to Bailey.

There is limited indoor seating, but the diner includes a large wooden deck with patio tables, and Roark Creek flows by the restaurant. According to 5280 Magazine, the interior features red-topped barstools, a circular booth, and a “trip back to the 1960s.”

The menu of course includes a variety of hot dogs and toppings, as well as bratwursts, French fries, and ice cream.

The historic landmark even gets a shoutout on the popular South Park television series, in which it gets abandoned and becomes a residence and place of work for character Eric Cartman and his mother.
