3 injured in shooting in Aurora, one suspect arrested

AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police said a man taken into custody arrested after three people were injured in a shooting Sunday morning.

Officers responded around 4:30 a.m. to the 1500 block of Nome Street for the reported shooting, between Colfax and 16th Avenue.

They found two men with gunshot wounds and a third man with a broken ankle who were all transported to the hospital.

Police said one of the men shot suffered life-threatening injuries, and the other two suffered injuries that were described as serious.

A man was taken into custody in connection to the shooting, but police said their involvement is not clear at this point.
