Colorado Day is coming up. Here’s where to celebrate around the state

Colorado Day.jpeg

This Thursday, August 1 will mark the 148th anniversary of Colorado joining the union.

The Centennial State was the 38th state to be founded, in between Nebraska at No. 37 and North Dakota at No. 39.

While there are many Colorado-esque attractions, restaurants and activities to experience, the events listed below are unique to Colorado Day.

Raise a toast to Colorado with these happenings around the state:

Colorado State Capitol – Free Event

When: August 1, 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where: 200 East Colfax, Denver

This year’s celebration at the Capitol is themed coloRADo — focusing on the incredibly “rad” things about Colorado. Visitors can enjoy performances by Colorado’s Official State Bagpiper, the Jeffco Symphony Orchestra, the Capitol Brass Quintet and the Colorado State Square Dancing Association. There will also be book signings by local authors, a K9 demonstration and more! Visit here for more information.
