Denver weather: Hot, hot Tuesday, no cool-down anticipated

Denver is expected to edge the triple digits Tuesday with anticipated highs in the upper 90s, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Expect sunny and hot conditions Tuesday, and a high of 99 degrees. A light breeze from the southwest is expected to roll through the area at 6 mph.

Looking ahead to Tuesday night, partly cloudy skies and a low of 64 degrees are in the forecast.

Highs are intended to remain in the upper 90s for the remainder of this week and into the next.

Thursday: Sunny skies are in the forecast and a high of 97 degrees.

Friday: There’s a 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 96 degrees.

Saturday: Sunny skies and a high of 94 degrees are in the forecast.

Sunday: There’s a slight chance of thunderstorms in the forecast heading into the afternoon. Expect mostly sunny skies and a high of 95 degrees.
