Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of North Chelton Road, just west of the Citadel Mall, following a call about a shooting. At the scene, they found a man with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg in the front yard of a home, police said.

Witnesses told police that a female, wounded in the same incident, had been taken to a hospital “by private automobile.” Officers learned that the female victim had been shot in the right forearm.
