Day 11 of Broncos training camp: Rookie Troy Franklin hauls in toe-tap touchdown

ENGLEWOOD — A behind-the-scenes look at Broncos training camp practice Wednesday with observations and analysis from The Denver Gazette.
Play of the day
Rookie wide receiver Troy Franklin ended the final team period of practice with a toe-tap touchdown in the back of the end zone. Quarterback Zach Wilson threw a deep ball facing third down with just seconds left on the clock. The secondary argued that Franklin didn’t get both feet down. But it was an impressive effort regardless.
QB watch
The first-team quarterback rotation shifted back to rookie Bo Nix. He was especially effective in 7-on-7, connecting with multiple targets. Jarrett Stidham led the second-team offense. He threw an interception to linebacker Levelle Bailey on a tipped ball. Zach Wilson made several nice plays as QB3.
Stock rising
TE Greg Dulcich. He continues to flash big-play ability after changing his running stride to prevent future injuries. Dulcich needs to stay healthy to contribute.
Stock falling
RB Blake Watson. He recorded the first lost fumble of training camp in 11-on-11 when cornerback Art Green ripped it out. The football was recovered by cornerback Tanner McCalister.
Attendance check
Linebacker Justin Strnad returned to practice Wednesday after dealing with a groin injury.
Injury report
Players unavailable Wednesday included OLB Nik Bonitto (back), S Brandon Jones (hamstring), LB Drew Sanders (Achilles), S Delarrin Turner-Yell (ACL) and CB Levi Wallace (hamstring).
