If you’re looking for a way to give back to the Colorado community, here’s your chance.

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that they’ll be participating in the annual KOSI 101.1 Teddy Bear Patrol toy drive, which aims to collect new stuffed animals that first responders and emergency teams around the state can use to comfort children in times of need.

Stuffed animals that are donated must be new and preferably still in store packaging. Last year during DMV participation, their employee-only effort yielded 217 stuffed animals for donation. With the public involved this year, the agency hopes to donate even more.

“Help us make a difference — if you can donate a stuffed animal, please do,” said DMV Senior Direction Electra Bustle. “It might seem like a small act, but the comfort it provides can mean the world to a child who just experienced trauma.”

Donations can be dropped off through September 4 at participating driver license offices.
