Aurora lives up to its diverse cultures slogan, “The World in a City,” at its Aurora Global Fest celebration Saturday with flags in a Parade of Nations from 60 different countries. Within its population of nearly 400,000, Aurora has residents who reportedly speak an estimated 170 languages. The free community festival will feature ethnic music and dances, 50 vendors, a global marketplace, special food trucks and a fashion show, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the grounds of Aurora Municipal Center, 15151 E. Everything books and about books at the annual Rocky Mountain Book and Paper Fair. Booksellers from across the country will be at Douglas County Fairgrounds, 500 Fairgrounds Road, Castle Rock. Saturday, 1 to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s the book fair’s 40th year. Readers will have an opportunity to meet with authors and the Englewood Depot Printing Museum will demonstrate printing presses. Admission $7 good for both days. rmaba.org
