Here’s where Colorado ranked among the ‘most fun’ states in the US
Colorado has been named one of the “most fun states” in the country according to a recent study from WalletHub. Given Colorado’s scenery and its place as an outdoor recreation hub, the ranking comes as no surprise.
WalletHub looked at the states across the two categories of “Entertainment and Recreation” and “Nightlife” using 26 indicators of a “jolly good time that won’t break the bank.” Indicators included movie costs, accessibility of national parks, and nightlife options per capita.
Colorado ranked fifth nationwide, with a total score of 52.89. The Centennial State also ranked fifth for entertainment and recreation, and ninth for nightlife. The study results also show that Colorado tied for first place for skiing facilities per capita, ranked the highest for state and local expenditures on parks and recreation per capita, and ranked second for highest personal expenditures on recreation services per capita.
Florida ended up ranking as the most fun state in the country with a total score of 65.51, an entertainment and recreation rank of second, and nightlife rank of third.
