One person died following an auto-pedestrian crash within a construction zone in Centennial on Monday morning.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Arapahoe Road and Holly Street, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said in a social media post on X at 10:55 a.m.

In its posting, deputies described the crash as a “serious accident in a construction zone.”

At noon, authorities said one person died and the coroner was at the scene.

Northbound lanes of S. Holly St. at E. Arapahoe Road were reopened just after 1 p.m.

The crash remains under Arapahoe Sheriff’s Office investigation.
