Former Broncos linebacker, Super Bowl XXXII champion Allen Aldridge Jr. dies at 52
Aldridge played eight NFL seasons between the Broncos and Lions
Former Broncos linebacker Allen Aldridge Jr. — a starter on the Super Bowl XXXII championship team — has died, according to media reports.
He was 52. The cause of death was not immediately made available.
Aldridge spent the past 15 years as head coach of Fort Bend Bush High School outside Houston. He died unexpectedly overnight Sunday, according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
The Broncos selected Aldridge in the second round of the 1994 NFL draft out of the University of Houston. He started in 45 games over four seasons in Denver, including all four playoff games when the Broncos won their first Super Bowl. Aldridge posted 11 tackles and recovered a fumble on that postseason run.
