Denver weather: Isolated showers possible Monday with a return to seasonal conditions

The heat might be over for the rest of the month as a return to seasonal conditions makes its way back Monday.

An isolated shower or two might make its way across I-25 as seasonal weather returns to metro Denver.

Denver residents can expect a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Increasing clouds, with a high near 83, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

It’ll be breezy with a south southwest wind between 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

“Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms with gusty winds up to 40 mph are possible this afternoon and early evening, especially over the mountains and foothills,” the NWS said. “Rainfall will be light with the showers and thunderstorms.”

Tonight, it’ll be partly cloudy, with a low around 55. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Here is the 4-day forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday: A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 85. Breezy, with a south southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 82. South southwest wind around 7 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 84.

Friday: A slight chance of showers after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77.
