Jordan Nytes needs a bigger trophy case.

Now the Colorado Buffaloes’ goalkeeper will reunite with her former program.

Nytes, a former Grandview standout, was named Big 12 goalkeeper of the week for the second-straight week Wednesday. It’s her third such honor this season.

No. 21 Colorado (7-1-0) plays at No. 12 Oklahoma State (8-0-1) at 6 p.m. Thursday (ESPN+). Nytes began her college career at Oklahoma State, earning a pair of Big 12 goalkeeper of the week awards as a freshman.

A Centennial native, Nytes made five saves in Colorado’s 1-0 win over Kansas State, the Buffs’ Big 12 opener. It marked the sixth shutout of Nytes’ junior season.

CU has won six straight, including five straight shutouts. Nytes’ streak of five straight shutouts is tied for the longest in program history.

Oklahoma State, the final unbeaten team in the Big 12, has been nationally ranked in five consecutive United Soccer Coaches polls. Colorado has been ranked in the past four.
