“LOC” is staying in the 303.
The Colorado Avalanche announced Monday forward Logan O’Connor signed a six-year contract extension that begins with the 2025-26 season and runs through the 2030-31 season.
The 28-year-old O’Connor has spent his entire career with the Avs after he helped the University of Denver to the 2017 NCAA championship.
“We are thrilled to have ‘OC’ under contract for the next seven years,” general manager Chris MacFarland said in a news release. “He is a relentless worker and competitor who brings energy and grit to the lineup every night. His speed and skating ability makes him a dangerous two-way player and he is one of our top penalty killers. Logan is also a great teammate and takes pride in being part of the Denver community.”
TSN’s Pierre LeBrun reported the extension is worth $2.5 million annually.
O’Connor has 82 points through 263 regular-season games with the Avs. He has played in 31 postseason games while helping Colorado to the 2022 Stanley Cup.
