Lakewood police arrest juvenile for bomb threat at Green Mountain High School

Police said an anonymous Google Docs Form submission, posted on a student-made Instagram page Saturday, told people not to go to school on Monday.

The Lakewood Police Department on Sunday arrested a teenager in connection to a bomb threat made to Green Mountain High School on Saturday.

In a post on social media platform X, Lakewood police officials said the school, located on the west side of the city, received a bomb threat and that a juvenile is in custody.

Police said an anonymous Google Docs Form submission, posted on a student-made Instagram page, told people not to go to school on Monday.

With the assistance of Jefferson County and Adams County sheriff’s departments, authorities searched the school and found there was no threat.

Lakewood Police Department detectives tracked down the message and arrested a juvenile. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of harassment and interference with school on a credible threat, police said.

“Parents, students and staff of Green Mountain High School can rest assured that their school is safe and that the bomb threat was ultimately found to be a hoax,” Lakewood police officials said.
