Colorado state park set to be without running water for several upcoming days

Water will be shut off at Lathrop State Park for several days next week to allow major repairs to the park’s water system.

The entire water system will be turned off from Oct. 28 to Oct. 30, and possibly for a fourth day. The Visitor Center and gift shop will be closed while the water system is being repaired, and the water shutdown will impact all of the park’s flush toilets.

Visitors can, however, purchase licenses and retail items through the Visitor Center’s drive-up window. There will also be a portable toilet available at the Visitor Center and vault toilets can be found throughout the park.

Lathrop State Park’s aquatic nuisance species decontamination facility and Yucca Campground will both close for the winter on Oct. 28.
