Northglenn Halloween shooting started as a gunfight, police say
No suspects have been arrested in connection to the Halloween party shooting.
The Halloween party shooting in Northglenn that left three dead and three injured Friday morning may have began as a gunfight between multiple parties, according to the Northglenn Police Department.
Preliminary investigations found that the fatal shooting started with a “conflict” between multiple people at the large house party in the 200 block of Belford Drive, according to a Tuesday press release from the department.
Multiple people then pulled firearms and began shooting at each other, leading to the three deaths and three injuries.
The shooting occurred just after midnight on Friday. Police responded to a shots fired report, and upon arrival found a large gathering with multiple people wounded by gunfire.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, and five additional victims were transported to area hospitals, where two later died, a spokesperson with the Northglenn Police Department told The Denver Gazette.
According to the release, as of Tuesday, the three victims whom suffered the other gunshot wounds are expected to survive.
No suspects have been arrested, but investigators have identified people of interest and are attempting to contact them for interviews, the department said.
The identities of the victims will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office following investigations.
Investigators ask anyone with information to contact Detective Jackie Spresser at 303-450-8859.
