Where good news shines
Colorado State’s Jordan Noyes is the Mountain West special teams player of the week.
Noyes, a graduate student from England, earned the weekly honor Monday after scoring 12 points in CSU’s 38-21 win at Nevada. The win qualified CSU for a bowl game.
Noyes’ big day including a career-long 60-yard field goal — the second-longest field goal in Mountain West and Colorado State history. It was the longest field at Mackay Stadium.
He also hit from 21 and 35 yards.
Noyes is the second Rams kicker with multiple made field goals of 58-plus yards in a season. He was good from 58 yards earlier this year.
Colorado State is bowl eligible for the first time since 2017.
