The Denver Gazette’s predictions for Broncos-Chiefs
The Chiefs are the worst undefeated team in the NFL - but not after Sunday and the first signature game of Bo Nix's pro career.
The Denver Gazette sports staff predicts Sunday’s Broncos-Chiefs game:
Paul Klee’s pick: Chiefs 23, Broncos 13
The Broncos won five straight at Arrowhead Stadium across the Tebow-Manning eras. (Was Tim Tebow an era?) Since then? Kansas City’s been Blowout City, the Chiefs beating the Broncos in eight straight — with an average margin of victory of 11.6 points. Ugh. The double-digit dominance continues Sunday.
Klee’s record: 5-4 overall
Chris Schmaedeke’s pick: Chiefs 21, Broncos 14
The Broncos’ misery in Kansas City continues. But at least this one is kind of close. Quarterback Bo Nix will have a chance to tie the game, but the Chiefs defense will come up with the clutch stop.
Schmaedeke’s record: 6-3 overall
Chris Tomasson’s pick: Chiefs 24, Broncos 17
Heading into the game, the Broncos at least didn’t have to listen to talk about the infamous losing streak to the Chiefs, which they finally stopped at 16 games in October 2023. But they still must worry about a losing streak at Kansas City in jeopardy of reaching nine straight.
Tomasson’s record: 5-4 overall
Mark Kiszla’s pick: Broncos 20, Chiefs 17
The Chiefs are the worst undefeated team in the NFL. Wait … what? You’re right, K.C. is the league’s only undefeated team. Not after Sunday and the first signature game of Bo Nix’s pro career.
Kiszla’s record: 4-5 overall
