Nikola Jokic questionable for Denver Nuggets’ game in New Orleans

There’s a big name that’s been added to the Denver Nuggets’ injury report.
Nikola Jokic is listed as questionable to play in the team’s first NBA Cup group-stage game Friday in New Orleans due to personal reasons.
Vlatko Cancar is also questionable to play with a right ankle sprain, while Aaron Gordon (right calf strain) and DaRon Holmes II (right Achilles tendon repair) remain out. Gordon is not expected to return on Denver’s three-game road trip. Jalen Pickett and Spencer Jones are with Denver’s G League affiliate and will also be unavailable. With Jokic’s status in question, PJ Hall has been recalled from Grand Rapids.
Jokic’s potential absence comes at a good time, as the Pelicans will be without Zion Williamson, CJ McCollum, Dejounte Murray, Herbert Jones, Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins.
