Boulder County Sheriffs are on the lookout for a large panda bear with a vape habit.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 2, a group of teenagers or young men —one dressed as the iconic fluffy black and white bear with black circles for eyes — broke the window of a Superior Safeway fuel station and stole cigarettes and vaping products. Sheriffs said that they used rocks to shatter the glass.
The other two suspects wore dark pants, hoodies and white sneakers.
The group of three returned Nov. 10 for a second smash-and-grab at the gas station, which is located at 1603 Coalton Road. This time, none of the burglars were dressed in costume. Video surveillance captured the burglars walking across the store parking lot. One of them was carrying a distinctive green back pack and another had a black backpack.
The crimes happened when the fuel station was closed for the night.
