Colorado concrete company to lay off 121 people

A construction company in Henderson, Colo., plans to lay off 121 workers, according to a filing to state officials required by the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).

Brown Brothers Resources Holdings, LLC, filed the notice with the state Monday and cited “closure” for the layoffs. The Adams County company’s address matched Brown Brothers Asphalt & Concrete, a Colorado-based construction firm specializing in pavement repairs and parking lot maintenance.

The company did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday.

The notice said all 121 employees at the company will be laid off beginning Dec. 6. until the end of the year.

Brown Brothers Asphalt & Concrete on 9109 Monaco St. was founded in 1996 and claims on its website that its one of Colorado’s largest concrete and asphalt companies.
