A grill fire closed a McDonald’s in Castle Rock early Thursday morning.

The McDonald’s, located at Park Street and Wolfensberger Road, near central Castle Rock, caught fire in the kitchen around 4:45 a.m., according to a Castle Rock Police Department and Castle Rock Fire and Rescue spokesperson.

No injuries were reported, according to authorities.

The fire started from a foot suppression system failure, the spokesperson said, adding the fire was already extinguished by the restaurants emergency system by the time firefighters arrived.

Castle Rock’s central McDonald’s location will close for a unknown amount of time until further health inspections, according to the spokesperson.

The two other Castle Rock McDonald’s locations are located to on the north and east side of town.

The restaurant owners said “the restaurant should be opening back up today after the fire inspector finishes their inspection.”
