Denver weather: Bitter cold and snow through the weekend

The snow and bitter cold air are here with more on the way. Bundle up and drive carefully if you have to head out through the weekend.

Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for Denver and the entire I-25 corridor for 3-6 inches of snow. This Advisory continues through 5 p.m. Saturday. A Cold Weather Advisory is also in place Sunday through Tuesday morning for the dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills.

Wind chill temperatures should reach the -20° range by Sunday morning and could drop close to the -30s by Monday lasting into Tuesday.

And the cold won’t quite be over just yet. Expect Tuesday morning to also drop into the negatives. Maybe another low of -10 could be possible.

The Arctic air will move away by noon on Tuesday, but Denver will likely stay around freezing until Wednesday afternoon.

Stay tuned as we constantly update the forecast as new data comes in. This will be a high-impact event this weekend.
