WASHINGTON • These are the executive orders and executive actions already prepared for President Donald Trump’s signature:

Undoing Biden’s executive orders

The first order President Trump signed rescinded 78 executive orders, actions and memorandums by President Biden.

Pardons in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol attack

Trump signed pardons on Monday night for most of those convicted in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.

America First

Trump signed an order renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America. The highest mountain in North America, now known as Denali, will revert back to Mount McKinley, its name until President Barack Obama changed it. 

Trump also withdrew the United States from the World Health Organization.

Immigration

Trump declared a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border, and vowed to send U.S. troops, including National Guard units, to support immigration agents and restrict the flow of refugees and asylum seekers.

He’s also pledged to restart a policy that forced asylum seekers to wait for immigration court appointments over the border in Mexico.

Trump signed an order ending birthright citizenship, which is currently enshrined in the Constitution.

He ended the CBP One app, a Biden-era border app that gave legal entry to nearly 1 million migrants.

Trump also planned to end so-called “catch and release” policies that afforded immigrants parole while awaiting their court hearings, and he resumed construction of the border wall.

He also promised to end refugee resettlement at the border.

The economy

Trump is set to sign orders to ease regulatory burdens on oil and natural gas production.

Trump issued an order directing federal agencies to investigate and address trade deficits and unfair trade and currency practices. But he appears to be holding off at the moment on his threat to issue tariffs on China, Mexico, Canada and other countries. He also appears to be holding off on higher taxes on imports.

He ordered the government to assess the feasibility of creating an “External Revenue Service” to collect tariffs and duties.

He signed an directive ordering executive departments and agencies of government to address the cost of living.

Diversity, equity and inclusion and transgender rights

Trump is terminating diversity, equity and inclusion programs within the federal government.

Another order declares that the federal government would recognize only two sexes: male and female. And they’re to be defined based on whether people are born with eggs or sperm, rather than on their chromosomes, according to details of the upcoming order.

Energy

Trump declared an energy emergency and promised to “drill, baby, drill.”

He will eliminate what he calls Biden’s electric vehicle mandate.

He halted the leasing of federal waters for offshore wind farms.

Regulation.

Trump signed an order that prohibits the issuance of any more regulations by government regulators pending a review.

Federal workers

He signed orders that froze federal hiring and required all federal workers return to full-time in-person work immediately.

Justice Department

He signed a directive that instructs the attorney general to scour federal agencies for indications of political bias in work conducted under the Biden administration.

Revoke security clearances for 51 signers of a letter suggesting that the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop could be Russian disinformation

Climate

The new administration announced that the U.S. is withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord.

Censorship

Trump signed an executive order calling for “restoring of free speech and ending federal censorship.”

TikTok

Trump issued an order to delay the ban on the TikTok app by at least 75 days.

Efficiency

He implemented the Department of Government Efficiency, the Elon Musk-led cost-cutting initiative.
