Where good news shines

Colorado Christian men’s golf will be represented at the Torrey Pines South Course next week.

The Cougars’ Xavier Bighaus and Sangha Park were both selected to play in the Genesis Invitational’s Collegiate Showcase on Monday with a chance to qualify to play in the PGA Tour’s Barracuda Championship in July.

Bighaus, who was part of the Cougars’ national title team, earned his berth from the Pathway Player invitation, which is awarded annually to a collegiate golfer with a minority background who excels on the golf course and academically.

Park is ranked No. 4 in the country in Division II. He is a graduate student from South Korea with three top-three finishes last season.
