Where the good news shines
Strong play from goalie Malcolm Kleban powered the No. 15 University of Denver lacrosse team to a 14-8 win over Air Force in Colorado Springs.
Kleban made nine saves while giving up six goals. Grayson Manning played the final nine minutes in net for the Pioneers.
The Pioneers’ Marek Tzagournis had a hat trick to lead the Pioneers on the offensive side. Joshua Carlson, Mic Kelly and Jack Tortolani all joined Tzagournis’ three-point day.
Denver had nine players score Saturday.
Denver welcomes Utah to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium at Noon Saturday.
