A man was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Player’s Club on Federal Boulevard after getting into an altercation with another man before the shooting, the Adams County Sheriff’s officer said Wednesday.
The victim, Jonathan Gulesserian, was found with a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of a vehicle in the parking lot of the strip club located at 6710 Federal Blvd. around 1:30 a.m. Monday. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
After reviewing video evidence and conducting numerous interviews, investigators identified the suspect as 35-year-old Bruno Hernandez. According to the Sheriff’s Office, security footage from the club showed that Hernandez was in an altercation with Gulesserian moments before the shooting. Investigators also linked Hernandez’s vehicle to the shooting and located the car at a Fort Lupton residence.
With assistance from the Weld County SWAT team, the Fort Lupton Police Department, and the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets task force, Hernandez was taken into custody at his residence without incident.
Hernandez faces a charge of first-degree murder.
